Fees & Pricing

A note to prospective patients about insurance:

We currently do not accept insurance as payment.  Insurance for acupuncture in Texas is a tricky thing.  It is only part of “premium” insurance plans, and it is not always geared towards wellness treatments.  In Texas you can expect that acupuncture is merely applied for pain reduction due to traumatic injuries.  Those seeking support for wellness treatments, preventative medicine, or other non-injury related complaints should speak with their insurance agent to find out if you can submit your acupuncture invoices for reimbursement… some plans cover it and some do not.

I have no plans to become an insurance provider at this time due to the fact that our treatments typically focus on internal medicine and largely rely on herbal medicine as the main tool for treatment.  Neither internal medicine nor herbal medicine are presently covered for acupuncture in Texas.

Returning Patients:

About Herbal Medicine:

Our herbal pharmacy is fairly extensive and is focused on safety and quality.  There have been various concerns about herbal medicines in the last few years.  I have been concerned as well, and I have renewed my focus on patient safety and quality control since many of our products are sourced from China.  All our products are internationally cGMP certified, and the qualities of our products at their source adhere to the highest of quality control standards.  All products are randomly batch tested for ingredient accuracy, freedom from heavy metals, pesticide residues, organic toxins, colorings, preservatives, and pharmaceutical ingredients.  More can be read about GMP standards here:

We also keep more than 1/3 of our pharmacy usable for those who are sensitive to gluten or starch, because those ingredients are commonly used in herbal extracts and prepared medicines.  Knowing that many have food allergies, Celiac’s, or other sensitivities has lead me to make herbal treatment safely available to those with such problems.

If you have any specific questions about herbal medicine or our pharmacy, please ask at the Contact & Map page of this website.  Thank you for your interest.
